Based on the award-winning, daring, and intensely erotic prose of Małgorzata Żarów, this performance reveals spaces that usually remain hidden — the digital realms where the body becomes a commodity, and the urban landscapes where loneliness grows particularly acute.
The protagonist, a woman working as a CamGirl, guides us through rented apartments, stairwells, streets, and night bus stops. Along the way she encounters Ramona — an amateur fortune-teller, Stefan — a porn actor, and Magda — a friend from the past.
In this story, Warsaw is not merely a backdrop but a full participant in the narrative: a city capable of concealing anonymity while simultaneously exposing it with painful clarity.
The performance explores intimacy exposed to the gaze of others, the need to be seen, and the struggle to maintain one’s agency. Snake Charming on Hot Evenings is a story in which desires and needs collide with expectations — raw, uncompromising, and painfully real.
The book on which the performance is based received the 2023 Gdynia Literary Prize and was nominated for the Warsaw Literary Award, the Conrad Award, the Nike Literary Award, and the Premio Grand Continent.
The performance contains nudity, elements of sexual violence, erotic scenes and sexual content, as well as flashing lights, smoke, dynamic animations that may cause discomfort or eye strain, and loud sound effects.

The performance participates in the 32nd National Competition for the Staging of Polish Contemporary Drama.
The competition aims to reward the most interesting repertoire explorations in Polish theatre, support contemporary Polish dramaturgy in stage productions, promote modern Polish drama, and broaden the field of theatre criticism through the presence of the Artistic Commission at performances across the country.
The competition is organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw.
